CASTLEWELLAN HUNTING TRAIL.

The hunting trail at Castlewellan Forest park saw a big entry of 71 despite the weather forecast. 19 American 3D targets were set out and disguised among the trees and archers had to hit them very often finding difficulty to get a clear shot through the undergrowth. In the cubs under 9 Nicole Farrell [135] and Roald Naeri [190] did very well while in the under 12 class, Morgan Russell-Cowan [160]and Stephanie Shannon [150] did very well for the girls and Craig McCreary[150] and Ewan Lynas did well for the boys. The under 15 class saw Shannon Russell-Cowan [180] and Claire Hillen [170 ] do especially well on what most archers thought was a difficult and testing course. In the under 19 section Conor O’Hare [barebow] and Christopher Moyna [longbow] did well on their first hunting trail .
