
JONATHAN GOODMAN HITS TOP SCORE IN COMPOUND CLASS.
In the closely contested compound class, Jonathan Goodman from England shot
687 over both days to win.He shot 347[ out of a maximum of 360] on day 1 and
340 on day two.However on day two he was beaten by Kilkeel archer Alan
Girvanwho shot 3421 iN 3RD PLACE WAS Paul Goodman who shot 618 and in 4th
place Peter Middlestrob from London who shot 618. Wesley Grattan
Ballyvally's best junior compound came close with a 614 over the two
days.Dublin archer, Jim Conroy and Comber archer, John Kenny drew and had
to
be separated by misses...John missed one arrow and Jom missed none..It's tough
at the top!
PETER MULLIGAN PUTS IN A CLASS SCORE
Peter Mulligan puts in a class score.
Peter Mulligan turned it on for his first qualifying shoot for the British
Team for the World Games in Germany in July and the European Champs in
Slovenia in September. He shot a Magnificent 340 on the Saturday and an
equally good 316 on the longer distances on Sunday.Gilbert McClelland was
2nd on 567 and Alan Convery 3rd on 552.Jane Rees from England, the current
British lady barebow champion,won the ladies section with 583 while
Ballyvally's Patricia Mulligan was 2nd. Patricia was very pleased with a
personal best score of 257 for the unmarked round on day 1.In the junior
section shooting adult distances, Damien Tumilty shot a very good 391 while
Mark Nesbitt had two good days scoring 527 shooting boys freestyle.
BRITISH RECORDS BROKEN.
DESPITE THE VARIED WEATHER CONDITIONS, 3 BRITISH RECORDS WERE BROKEN.
Jonathan Tennyson from Lough Cuan Archers, shot 102 in the marked round and
Ballyvally Archer
Richard McKee shot 136 in the unmarked round to break the existing British
record. Chris Murray shooting compound unlimited with his new bow claimed

British records..the mmarked round, the unmarked round and the combined two
day record...congratulations ALLTHREE.
