MARK FOR TURKEY?

Young Mark Nesbitt has again astounded the archery world with his archery
skills.Just recently back from a premier event in Dublin where he took on
the best senior archers in Ireland, Mark proved again his class by defeating
Ireland number 1 Keith Hanlon in the final. Last weekend he did it again in
the N.I. Premier event where he again reached the final. Meeting top NI archer
Karl Watson it was a cliffhanger as both archers were shooting extremely well.
The final ended with both on 106 and it went to a sudden death shoot-out with
one arrow where Karl shotan 8 and Mark a 10. These successes have come on
top of Mark doing the same in Spain recently in the Europa Cup. In Spain Mark
again shot well as part of the GB Team defeating Spanish [round1] Italian
[round 2] Russian [round 3] and Polish [round 4] to reach the final against
a Dutch archer. In the final Mark was just edged out of the gold but ended
up with a very creditable silver medal performance. As a result Mark has been
invited to a selection shoot at lilleshall in two weeks time and if he can
continue his winning streak, he could be on the GB team to shoot in the World
Championships in Turkey later this year. Congratulations Mark!
