KENDAL RESULTS;
With a squad of 37 archers shooting in Kendal the previous weekend, archers
are getting opportunities to shoot against the best in Britain. The course
was very difficult with many steep shots but the weather was good thus making
the slopes safer to shoot! Results were very good with Philip Fitzpatrick
winning the gents barebow while Ashley Russell-Cowan and Damien Lennon came
first in ladies and mens traditional. Mark Nesbitt [who has just won the mens
FITA this weekend ] came first in the under 18’s but his score of 654
was unbelievably the highest senior score as well! Juniors who won medals
in the traditional class were Rebecca lennon, Shannon Russell-Cowan, and Michael
Ward.. Top places in compound barebow went to Claire Hillen, Mark Hamilton
and Craig McCreery while barebow medals went to Peter Lavery and Stephanie
Shannon. Compound unlimited medals went to Rian Morgan and Rory Shannon.

INDOOR LEAGUE. ROUND 7
The shooting line was full on Wednesday night as Ballyvally archers shot in
the 7th round of the club’s indoor league. The Wednesday night session
is only one of 9 run by the club during the week as archery continues to prove
attractive to all age groups and especially families. The rounds being shot
are the FITA Field round [especially useful to those shooting outdoors for
the current crop of championships] and the National Animal round which is
preparing archers for the summer and Autumn outdoor shoots at loughbrickland.
Leading the cub girls under 9 is Molly Styevenson with 15 points while Roald
Naeri leads the boys with 16 points. Morgan Russell-Cowan has just moved into
a narrow lead in girls under 12 with Nathan Liggett and Ewan Lynas sharing
the boys’ lead. Shannon Russell-Cowan is clear for the girls under 15
but the boys section now has 3 in the lead namely Brett Mathews, Peter Lavery
and Michael Ward. In the under 18 sections, Ciara Dunleavy and Adam Wilson
