ROBIN HOODS GALORE!
Last year in Ballyvally club there were only 2 “Robin Hood’”
in the entire year. Last week there were no less than 4 in THE ONE WEEK! A”
Robin Hood” is the name given to a very rare event i.e. when one arrow
is shot into the back of another arrow! It all started on a Thursday night
when Ross McLaughlin shot into his own arrow. He was sorry to smash one of
his own arrows…..he would have preferred to shoot into someone else’s
arrow! He was even sorrier when 10 minutes later, Amy Lavery shot into another
of his arrows. He thus lost two arrows on the one night! The next day Maggie
Quaile “Robin Hooded” her own arrow and on the Sunday Martin Farrell
sn “Robin Hooded” his own arrow in Castlewellan from 45 metres
distance and up a steep slope!
